The crisis of driving in Egypt

Egyptian traffic drives on the right side of the road but they use the left side of the road if this section is better, has less speed bumps or if there are camels on the road. So don’t be alarmed when someone drives on the wrong side of the road and comes directly at you. Driving in Egypt is very hard, it is almost impossible for any person with heart condition. The majority forget a lot of things from the traffic laws. For example, the seatbelt, it is obligatory to the driver to wear the seatbelt and also the person next to him. But in Egypt no one do that, even if it is for their safety. Also it is forbidden for a driver of a car to use the mobile phone or smoke. But in Egypt it is like a habit for any driver. Doing anything like that seems to be silly, but it can claim our lives .Traffic laws are for our safety so we all should follow it.

“What About First Oscars For You?”

Egyptian journalist Shaimaa Abdel Moneim, who was sent by Al Youm7, sparked a wave of laughter in the room after asking that incomprehensible question to Leonardo DiCaprio at the 2016 Academy Awards ceremony. People criticized Al Youm7 for sending someone who does not speak English fluently to cover such an important event. They also criticized Abdel Moneim for not having prepared a good question, for her bad accent, and for lack of self confidence adding that she did not miss a chance to take photos of herself with celebrities’ statues. However, some Egyptians have supported her saying that she only got confused and this could happen to anyone. Despite the fact that she was not enough qualified for this task, the humiliation and criticism she received for her performance was exaggerated and impolite somehow as this affected her family. People could have criticized the performance but not the person herself. She said that she sinned against herself and her country and that she received an opportunity and missed it because of her lack of experience. It is clear that from her words she admitted that she was not enough qualified and she has no experience but also, she promised that she will learn from this lesson and her work on herself to be better. She could learn from her mistake without the humiliation which she received from people. At the end of the day, we are all humans and have mistakes and as long as we are living, we continue to learn more and more from our mistakes.

Tourism

Tourism is one of the most important economic resources to Egypt, especially in these days; As, Egypt’s tourism income represents 11.3% of its gross domestic product. So we need to think of how we can revive tourism?

Tourism cannot be revive by a visit of an official delegation to ITB Berlin. We need to think out of the box, we need a new ideas that can keep pace with the world. There are a lot of ideas for example:

1 Luxor fashion week like Paris fashion week.

2 Invite the winner of UEFA champion’s league to enjoy week in Egypt.

3 Work on a big event of the Egyptian kitchen with celebrities’ chef like Jamie Oliver.

There are a lot of ideas out of the box that can be applied by cooperating global celebrities with the Egyptian youth to attract tourists to visit Egypt. #VisitEgypt
